That is what the new owners of Pizza.com paid for the domain name.  The domain used to be owned by Chris Clark.  Chris has kept the domain name since 1994 and has paid about 20 dollars per year to keep the name ownership.  He was surprised to see prices escalate as companies bid on the pizza.com name who was placed for auction by Sedo, a company specialized on domain name auctions.

Mr. Clark is now fully funded for his new Internet startup.  But, I am pretty sure he will find hard to match the return on investment he got out of Pizza.com.
